Live Vol. 2
The tragically short career of Woody Shaw is fairly well documented on records. There is, however a dearth of live material on this most creative of trumpeters. From the people who brought you his critically-acclaimed Muse recordings, comes the second installment in a series of live material recorded as Woody was developing the vision that came to full fruition with the late 1970's quintet. This volume features some material that was commercially recorded by Woody but here, in "the heat of battle" so to speak, Woody stretches out and gives free reign to his creative and improvisational talents. Hear Woody Shaw has you have never heard him on CD before.
