Allen with the excellent rhythm section of Danny Grissett on piano, Dwayne Burno on bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums. One listen and it is easy to see why he was voted Rising Star on the Trumpet five years in a row by Downbeat Magazine and the Jazz Journalist Association.
