Fillmore Slim may not be known to music fans around the globe as a bluesman, but in the world of hip-hop and other hustles he's revered as a Major Mack, Original Gangsta, Godfather of the Game, and star of the 1999 documentary film "American Pimp". Snoop Dogg, Master P, and E-40 have dropped his name in their songs, and although Slim's of another generation, younger hustlers continue to salute him at their players' balls from coast to coast. "I lived in the country," Slim proudly admits. "I picked cotton. I plowed with a mule. I don't sing like no city bluesman." With Franck Goldwasser (aka Paris Slim) on 2nd guitar and Chris Millar on drums, Slim's music is an eloquent testament to the staying power and timelessness of the country blues as practiced by the most famous resident of Funky Mama's House.

Fillmore Slim- vocals/guitar; Frank Goldwasser (Paris Slim)- guitar; Chris Millar- drums; Roger Perry- steel guitar/keyboard/guitar/bass; Tim Bird- tenor saxophone; Terry McDonald- baritone saxophone.
