DeVos' approach has Grant Green's percussiveness , George Benson's rich tone, with a touch of B.B. King for added grit. For his latest Savant recording, DeVos features the tenor sax of Eric Alexander, who is no stranger to the organ ensemble, having been in Charles Earland’s band for years.
